Advantages: Multiple methods of remote control (Network, modem, etc)

Disadvantages: Cost and requires PCAnywhere at both ends

I've been using PC anywhere for 3 years now on and off and for the past year it's been my primary remote support tool.

It's implemenation of TCP/IP control is absolutely superb without doubt. Where it excells though is its modem support.

With modem support you'll find the following features a boon :-

. Colour Scaling
. Screen Scaling
. Data Stream Compression
. File transfer compression

Yep, File transfer using it's won proprietary system so that text files simply fly. Today I was using it and a 756KB log file came down in 1.5 seconds. Now that's quick.

The app works just as well on 9x as NT and will open up new worlds to you with regards to setting up remote dialin gateway machine for TCP/IP lan support, etc.

Nice product, just keeps getting better.
