... agree with other reviews this is definently the best server side script that there is, the syntax is easy and you can get a lot off support for it online. Including php s website which has a library off extensive knowlage on the functions which is more then i can say for microsofts asp language, its completely free which i love and i can sit there for hours writting a website with no problems, also easy to install,... Microsoft Visual Studio .Net Enterprise Architect Edition ... .net. When you start the application, it asks you what type of application you want to build. Nice and simple. All of the types of applications are stari ng you in the face, with descriptions as to what they represent. A couple of options are : VB Desktop Application and VB Web Based Application. Both use the same interface to build it but they differ. this is because a Desktop application is going to physically sit on someone's computer. The Web Based application is going to sit on a server somewhere in the world, remote from the computer. So both have different needs and ways to... PHP 3 ... honestly can't think of anything computer related that has been more valuable to me than PHP. Price: A major factor in what I choose to use, being on benefits. And the best price, in my oh-so-humble opinion, is free! Costs naff-all but a little time and effort to set up and is *so* worth it. If you had to pay for PHP, and the price was sensible and affordable I would probably pay, and I don't pay if I can get something free that does the job. Installation/setup: Takes a little time and effort, you need to read the readme files carefully and follow the instructions, but I managed without too much trouble and have never needed to wade in and faff about with ... Borland Delphi 5 Standard ... the last version of this product I acquired was Delphi 5 Enterprise, I started using Delphi when the second version was released during 1996. It has played such a pivotal role in my computing life and opened the door to so many new things, that it's just screaming for a review. Be warned however, I intend to review the standard edition in order to summarise the usefulness of the product as opposed to specific features (of which there are so many); but then, the other reviews cover that side of things. I also intend to write a little about the Sams "Teach Yourself" book that comes with all versions of Delphi Standard when acquired from Borland UK....
