Advantages: Fun to use loads of plugins

Disadvantages: can be difficult to use and get used to

I started using Reason 4 around two years ago, alot of my friends were using logic and fruity loops but I thought I will give Reason a try, at first it was a little daunting because the interface looked extremley complex with various buttons and switches and I had no idea what they did. The learning curve is quite deep and even after spending around 3 weeks playing around with different plugins and instruments there was still a great deal I didn't understand about the software. The rex drum loop plugin is really easy to use and i had alot of fun loading breaks on there and experimenting with different patterns. The thor synth is really fun to use and i liked the sounds that you can create by adjusting the different setting on each individual sound. Overall I think reason is an excellent software but it has a steep learning curve.

Summary: Brilliant software but needs time to get the hang off
