Yes, I think that Eudora is better than the other main contender in home email packages, Microsoft's Outlook (and Express). It may have slightly fewer facilities, but it has everything I need and when it comes to secutity, well, have you heard of any viruses affecting Eudora rather than Outlook ? neither have I.
The program comes in 2 flavours, depending on whether you spend any money on it or not. If you don't register the program, then you have a little ad-bar in the bottom of the screen, showing various advertisments constantly. obviously, on paying and registering, this disappears.
The program is smaller and less resource-hungry than the Microsoft alternatives, but contains support for multiple accounts, has extensive filtering rules, the search options are powerful and easy to use, it is fairly intuitive and quick to use and is well worth the few dollars spent on the on-line registration.
It can be downloaded from www.eudora.com or is normally found on the cover cd of one of the Pc magazines most months.
