Advantages: Easy to use., Lots of features, Strong web connections
Disadvantages: Only average soung quality
Real One Player is the Real Networks equivallent of Windows Media player except that it is much better. Real One Player allows you to do so much more than Windows Media Player. It features an updated version of Real Player to play movies and videos plus an updated version of Real Jukebox player to allow CD playback, recording and a very good radio service over the internet. With Real One player you can save tracks from CDs onto your hard-drive and burn tracks from your hard-drive onto a CD easily. Been fully web intergrated, real one player features it's own web browser (although not as good as Internet Explorer) aswell as the feature to find out more info about a playing track and artist, through this you can find out more about the actual CD you're playing and also use various online shopping sites (e.g Amazon) to find more CD's by that artist. Real One has a great variety of settings which can be used to change the way you play things on Real One and how much you want Real One Player to intergrate with your system. You can sort out your tracks and videos into neat sets with the Media Library featured in Real One player. Real One player is great for people with slow internet connections, Windows Media Player seems to need strong & fast connections to get the most out of media on the web but Real One allows you to customize your connection settings easily so that you can get a high quality, strong connection even with slow modems. Real One Player has an average sound qulaity although it could improve, it seems to play the background music louder than the actual singig and foreground sound. Overall I will give this 4 stars, I feel that I cannot give it 5 due to an only average sound quality.
