Roboform is one of those pieces of software that once you install and use, you wonder how on earth you ever managed without it before.So what exactly is it?

Well it's a password manager, an automatic form filler, and a password generator all rolled into one.

Basically it stores (on your command) any user names and passwords that you may enter on a web page and then gives you the option of saving this information for the next time that particular site is visited, and thus, filling in the saved details automatically.

Now, this is very useful in itself, and very time saving, but also has the added advantage of defeating any keyloggers (pieces of software that can log information and passwords by recording what you type on a keyboard) because you are not using the keyboard to type in the information.

It also has the added benefit of defeating phishing ( a rogue look- alike website that is designed to steal information from you) because Roboform will only fill in your saved details if the website is matching, so if you were a victim of phishing, and, for example, you were sent to a "rogue" website and tried to use Roboform to fill in your details it would not allow you to because it would know that it wasn't the original website that you used to save your details in the first place. A great piece of added security!

In the same way that you store and save passwords etc. you can also use this software to store whole registration and checkout forms as well. If you save details and passwords of Bank Accounts or the like, then it is advisable to use the "secure" feature and enter a one time password which, then. can only fill in your password or details if that security password is typed in first!

Also included is a password generator which will generate safe and secure passwords for you that are hard to crack, which is another excellent feature, especially if you are like me and just use my cats name or something stupid like that!!

The paid for version allows you to use all of its features without restriction obviously, but the free or trial version restricts you to saving only 10 passwords and user names.
