I originally installed this to transfer movies to my PDA making them smaller and changing them from mkv file to wmv files. FormatFactory basically converts pretty much any video format into pretty much any other video format so that you can place the media onto different devices etc... and reduce file size. Format Factory is one of those neat little utilities that you find for free on the net. Well actually I was lead to it by reading a Ciao review on it, and decided to investigate further. I have a Palm Tungsten and have to convert many little video gems from places such as You Tube. The software I currently have has worked pretty much 100% until I found this new video site. For some reason the conversions are garbled and pixelated so I thought I'd download Format Factory and give it a go. I have used many different formatting programs in my time on the old PC, many costing a few pennies and not worth the packaging they came in. I have been using two certain 3GP converters for some time, one to convert TO 3GP and one to convert FROM 3GP, both programs doing a fine job. I have also had several other programs which convert MPG to AVI, or MP4 to WMV, MP3 to WMA and many more, but after a certain person told me about a certain program which does it all in one I had to give it a go.
