Flash FX, Flash quality - At a very SWiSH Price tag!! (Swish)

If you've been to sites of people that use a lot of flash, you may sometimes thought - i would like some of that for my page. Well, you may have tried and seen that FLASH 5 and MX from Macromedia boast great features but they are hard to use at first and the price tag is very expensive.
In my other post i commented on how not to use Flash on your sites, but it can work for your site, and if you do decide that you want some, then this very might be the program for you.

SWiSH (version 2.0 now) is a very simple flash program, and thats why people love it. Its easy to pick up yet the quality of the results are amazing. Anything can be made on it within reason { Banners, intros, text and even full pages , and all in at least 1/4 of the time that it would on macromedia's program

SWiSH also boasts built in text, picture and sprite FX, allowing you to dymnamically move something on your movie easily. You can, twirl it, twist, fly, 3d vortex, explode, imploder, snake and lots more. All at a click of the mouse button! This ease of use makes it perfect for the begginer in flash that desires instant results - SWiSH can do this.

Once your creation has been made using the different FX and actions then you can also add music. This is very easy to import content to your movies and SWiSH will even compress all your content so your finished movie will be as small as possible! Very useful!

It is worth pointing out that will all this simplicity, that something just has to be lost - It is.. There is no support for any sort of actionscripting. This isn't a big let down but it does mean you'll have to do without direct preloaders, interaction from keyboard, custom movement/dragging and so on. But if you can live with these its pretty much possible to thrive on this program.

If you want to do flash - then now you can and at a very nice price tag. SWiSH 2.0 can be registered for only $30 i believe and at that price - w
hos going to argue!? Its a great program and surely everyone should have it - Even for FLASH 5 holders, its worth purchasing purely for its built in FX!

Once your creation is complete you can export to a SWF file for everyone to see it on the net. SWiSH even generates the HTML to embed the movie on your page for you - how very kind of it!!!

One last point i want to say is the community aswell. If you do decide to get this program as i suggest you do - then its worth remembering the strong commmunity of SWiSHers at flashkit.com, ready to help you at a moments notice - with this aswell, your bound to be able to create quality on SWiSH.

Ease of use:
That has to be 5/5 for the fact it is so easy to pick up and create as soon as its downloaded!

Value for money:
Again another 5, great price tag. You can't argue!

Creation Results:
Only slightly limited - still, quality is easily achieved. 4

Compared to other flash programs not as much. No sorry - You can't make games so please don't bother to try! Another 4
