TextPad is a fantastic and easy to use text editor, that makes life alot easier if you have to work with plain text files on a regular basis. I first discovered TextPad back in 2002 when I was working on a project at work that required me to concatenate files together. This makes the task very easy indeed. I also needed to select lines that contained certain text. TextPad highlights all lines that contain the text you entered with small arrows to the left hand side of the screen. As someone that works with data all day everyday, I've found textpad to be a very welcome essential companion! It is alot more powerful than the standard notepad. One simple extremely good advantage is the abililty to put line numbers down the side of the file. Textpad will also faintly hi-light the entire row you are on in yellow so you can easily find you way around data. You can also perform more advanced functions which really make it stand out from the other similar applications such as notepad. TextPad is a text editor for Windows operating systems. With it, you can edit text files (.txt), or other files containing text, such as html files and Java (and other programming language) source files.
