Advantages: Does everything you could want!

Disadvantages: Could be confusing to use for 1st timers

As someone that works with data all day everyday, I've found textpad to be a very welcome essential companion! It is alot more powerful than the standard notepad. One simple extremely good advantage is the abililty to put line numbers down the side of the file. Textpad will also faintly hi-light the entire row you are on in yellow so you can easily find you way around data.

You can also perform more advanced functions which really make it stand out from the other similar applications such as notepad. For example you can view HTML code very clearly, I often use Textpad to modify HTML files, as it colour codes the different parts of the code to make it alot more user friendly.

You can also perform regualr expression find and replace functions, which has become invaluble in a number of situations.

Overal a very nice little app, i'm sure there are plenty more functions that I am not aware of that make this even more powerful. But i fully recommend this application.
