When we moved to London, we didn't know the place very well. So, we thought that this Vindigo software would be pretty cool. Vindigo calls itself a "personal navigation tool" - the idea is that you tell it where you are or where you're going, and it finds the "nearest and best places to eat, shop, and play". "Tell it where you are" isn't as difficult as it sounds, because everything is done on "corners". If I'm at the corner of, say, Whitehall and Parliament Square, then I can tell it this, and it then knows roughly where I am.
