I purchased this software when I first started doing my family research and 3 years later I am still using it. I found it to be really easy to use for just basic family research. So is ideal and not complicated for a new researcher to use. Years on I am still using it and it has lots of features including genealogy reports outline descentant & kinship reports.
You can add photos and produce proffesional looking books. You can print off various types of trees including Ancestor, vertical,fan, hourglass tree also various decendant trees. There is a relashionship calculator which will give you the relationship between 2 people quickly. The family file stastics is a bonus as it will tell you in one click howmany people are on your tree, along with the total number of marriges, number og generations and number of different surnames. There isalso a very helpfull error checker which will go through your tree and highlight any errors this however can be a pain at times as it will through up mother was over 50 at birth of child which was not unusaul years ago.

I highly recommend this programe for new resaerchers as well as those that have been doing it for some time
