Winamp, I first downloaded 3 computers ago and 3 years ago, and I'm still using it! It is possibly the most useful thing I have ever downloaded. It is easy to use and download. It looks very nice and one of the main reasons I still use it is that it is easily skinned and base skin is a little tacky but you can find 100's of brillant ... Read the complete review

Until very recently I was using my Napster Application to play my MP3 files on my Computer. I admit it, I do have a load of MP3's that I have acquired over a long period of time and from various sources and until now, the player within Napster has been the ideal tool to hear my audio. But, with the renewal of my PC and changes to the ... Read the complete review

Winamp is a wonderful mp3 player (it works also with others music formats) with a lot of features. You can make a list of your mp3 and save it, play them shuffled and repeatly. Winamp has also many different skins (that you can download form www.winamp.com), there is the Winamp Equalizer (I don't know how it works but I think it's ... Read the complete review

Let's be honest with ourselves. Windows Media Player is rubbish. So's RealPlayer. It's all cunningly designed bloatware, and if you're using a substandard PC like me, you'll know that both programs take a mild eternity to load. And what about privacy? RealPlayer and WMP are so web-integrated that you can't even ... Read the complete review

Winamp has been around for a while now and has established itself as the leader of the PC music player world. But now Microsoft have released their new Windows Media Player (7) and although it only works on Windows 98 and above it has much to rival Winamp. I'm going to compare both of these players in this review so you can decide which is ... Read the complete review

I was introduced to Winamp by a friend who is in to MP3’s in a big way. I thought it would be all technical for me so I was a bit apprehensive when I decided to download it. But, I thought Why not? I could always remove it if it became to much. Winamp is free so I had nothing to lose and all I had to do was visit the site at www. ... Read the complete review

I have been using Winamp for quite a while now. I find it really good for organising MP3 files and its really good for playing them too. The good thing about Winamp is that it is absolutely free. And for a freebie I do not know anything better. You can get Winamp by downloading it from a CD or by going to download.com and downloading it ... Read the complete review

I have used Winamp for a long time now, prefering it over the allegedly great Media Player 8 with XP. Screw that. Why? Winamp loads quickly, has DECENT skins, with a large userbase, is constantly updated to be the best, plays well, small footprint, windowshade mode and more. Let me go through them one by one. Winamp is quick. ... Read the complete review

Winamp Winamp has all the features that most music lovers would want. --The GUI-- The GUI (Graphical User Interface) is very well set out just like the buttons on a normal stereo or hi-fi. But the GUI can be changed with ‘skins’ that can be downloaded from www.winamp.com and there are many to choose from such as ... Read the complete review

600 WORD REVIEW In my opinion, there is nothing that beats Winamp on the net if you are looking for an mp3 player. The download is only about 1MB and there is just a massive range of features. I downloaded Winamp having got a bit sick of using the Napster Internal Player - it would take quite some time to load up the files and ... Read the complete review

I have certainly tried a far amount of digital music players, and the one, which I have chosen to stick with, is Winamp. In fact I?m listening to it right now. It produces a very crisp sound when compared to some other players on the same set up. I think winamp has the nearly perfect balance between features, ease of use, and little ... This has to be one of the most useful free bits of software that I have come across in my experience with PCs. Upsides -------- I use Winamp essentially as an audio media player, more to the point, my MP3s. Firstly I can click on any one MP3 to get it playing instantly. There's no clunky media player loading up, which is ... Read the complete review

This program is very easy to use, and you will get use to it straight away. This program is capable of playing WAV, MP3, MP2, MP1, WMA, MIDI etc files. Basically it is capable of playing all the sound files you can think of. This program can not play video type files, which is a shame but nevertheless there is Windows Media Player which support ... Winamp is my favourite music player. I use it for everything -CDs, MP3 playlists etc. It has a very cool customisable interface, using a skinning method -so you can make your own winamp at home! Winamp. Where do I start? Supporting over 20 file types, and incredibley small memory and file type wise, you'd be mad not to try it. There are nearly 100,000 skins for it and the program is ace. I first "discovered" Winamp a few years ago, at the time when mp3's first started to encompass as many column inches as they could. At the time, this was the main reason for installing it as it was one of the best for playing the files. Since then Nullsoft have not rested on their laurels, but have continued developing the software ... Read the complete review
