Advantages: cheap, does the job

Xing's Audio Catalyst includes Audio grabber and Xing's MP3 Encoder. Extremely fast encoder with variable bitrable and high freq range. It is fully graphic driven and extremely easy to use. Includes VBR encoding, CDDB support.

The mp3 encoder codec is considered by many industry analysists to be low rate and better ones are meant to be available but I can honestly say I am pleased with its performance the way it is!

My most favourite feature is the CDDB functinoality and the software automatically encodes this in to the mp3's id3 tag aswell as directory and file name, taking all the burden of processing away from the end user.
