This is my recommendation from the shopping section, but I believe that students spending a lot on books might find it useful aswell.

I have spent a lot of money on the web, but now that I have seen this site, I think that my bank balance might breathe a sigh of relief :-) I have used other price comparison sites in the past, but let me tell you why I like SaveOnBooks: it's kept simple and easy, and it works! (it really finds bargains - sometimes at least)

SaveOnBooks is a useful site: When you search a book title, author or ISBN, it searches a lot of different bookstores. Once you have found what you want, it will give you more info and a picture of the book if that's what you want (choose 'more info' from the list) or let you find the best price right away (choose 'compare prices' from the list). Most times you find a bargain, but on some titles you don't. At least you can then be confident that you are not spending too much on the book. Apart from the price the service lets you see the money saved, delivery time, p+p charges and the total price - all by which you can sort the results.

Normally I only buy my books online, as I can get the best price on the net. I have tried different price comparison sites in the past, but not exactly like this on, as it is really easy to use than most others. There are no disurbing elements like banners and a lot of confusing categories - that makes it fast loading and easy to use. The design is kept very simple, but I don't care, as I just want to save on my book purchases.

In my test of the site I found 'Harry Potter Hardback Box Set' with a discount of £12.60!!
