I have just read the new category list for today (11th September) and have noticed that one has been set up for Census Enumeration. I appreciate that the Census is now over as far as completing forms is concerned but I thought that I would share my experience with you in case you fancied having a go next time round. Yes, I know it’s in 2011, but you might be interested. Just in case you didn’t know, the Census is a gathering of information, which has been performed every 10 years for the last 200 years or so. Having been made redundant and now updating my IT skills on a course that makes it difficult to fit in with temp agency booking requirements, I am needing to earn extra money until I am back in a full time job…….. along came the Census!! This is the count of people and property that has happened every decade for the past 200 years to provide statistics for government and business spending plans. In a copy of my local newspaper: Census Enumerators Wanted Join a team of Census Enumerators to deliver the Census Forms (well not the exact advert but you get the idea!!!) Wanting to earn a bit of extra cash to pay off some debts I thought I'd check out the website and printed myself a copy of the application form which I posted that same night (see I'm keen!)
