Newest Review: ... Hive is by far the dodgiest place I have been in my entire life. I am used to going out in the city centre where you have to be quite sober to get into clubs so the the Hive was a bit of a shock to me. The Hive is by far the dodgiest place I have been in my entire life. I am used to going out in the city centre where you have to be quite sober to get into clubs so the the Hive was a bit of a shock to me. GUU - Glasgow University Union. There are 2 unions at Glasgow University, but the GUU is the oldest, and is currently situated in a purpose built building at the bottom of University Avenue, which dates back to the 1930s. However, the ugly extension on the side hides what is known to many as the Hive, where you can go on Thurs - Sat nights throughout the year to get very drunk for very cheap. Typical nights invole getting tanked up before hand, before heading on down to get loads of Vodkas for 80p a shot, followed by after shocks, and no-one can remember what happens after that!
