Advantages: Cheap and Cheerful

Disadvantages: The day after, it's dirty, full of students - don't make it a routine

GUU - Glasgow University Union.
There are 2 unions at Glasgow University, but the GUU is the oldest, and is currently situated in a purpose built building at the bottom of University Avenue, which dates back to the 1930s.
However, the ugly extension on the side hides what is known to many as the Hive, where you can go on Thurs - Sat nights throughout the year to get very drunk for very cheap. Typical nights invole getting tanked up before hand, before heading on down to get loads of Vodkas for 80p a shot, followed by after shocks, and no-one can remember what happens after that!
For all the freshers next year, this is the sort of place where you need to be drunk on arrival, and you're guaranteed a laugh, altjough it is cheesy as hell and you need to counteract this by going decent places at least twice as much so as to not go insane.
Try dancing on the pyriamid without causing a massive pile up of people falling over - it's harder than you think!
All in all a good laugh - but don't go there too often.
