Allied Telesyn AT-WA7501A
Description: Model ID AT-WA7501A/MSF-EUP / Allied Telesyn AT WA7501A - Radio access point - 1 / 2 - 802.11a / The AT-WA7501 series is the next-generation dual radio access point that accommodates radios operating within the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. Dual-radio access points provide easy, ... more
Allied Telesyn AT-WA7501A ... cost-effective migration paths to the 54Mbps IEEE 802.11g technology while supporting IEEE 802.11b clients, offering unparalleled flexibility when designing or expanding wireless communication networks. The AT-WA7501 series offers a selection of IEEE 802.11a/b/g radios. Availability of IEEE 802.11a and g is dependent upon regional regulations.

AT-WA7501 series is equipped with advanced encryption and authentication capabilities including WEP 128 with auto key rotation, IEEE 802.1x, EAP/TLS and EAP/TTLS authentication and an embedded RADIUS server. Beyond securing the wireless Local Area Network, these features enable faster roaming and enhanced mobility. The secure high-speed exchange enforces network security while maintaining a seamless connection.

The enterprise class access point AT-WA7501 series provides the features necessary to support mission critical applications. Allied Telesyn's industry leading IP tunneling enables mobile workers to roam from access point to access point without interrupting the network connection. IP tunneling enables mobile workers to roam or move from access point to access point without interrupting the network connection (session persistence). This feature eliminates the need to have dedicated servers, to enter the IP addresses manually or to have mobile IP software reside on the client. Data link tunneling allows workers to roam on older switches that do not support backward learning. This session resistance eliminates the need to have the routing application reside on the client device, have dedicated servers, or manual entry of IP addresses. IP addresses are easier and less expensive to administer with Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server functionality. Network Access Translation (NAT) support enables the AT-WA7501 series to assign and manage static IP addresses.

The AT-WA7501 series utilizes packet filtering, ensuring fewer dropped packets, less network congestion and better overall performance. The AT-WA7501 series PoE capable solution eliminates the need and expense of installing separate cables and outlets.

The AT-WA7501 series is housed in an IEC IP54 rated case with heater options, making it the ideal access point for harsh environments where cold temperatures, small airborne particles and moisture are prevalent.
