Asus Eee PC 900

Premium Review PC 900, if i'd have waited 2 months I would have had an N270 (1474 words)

I had waited for the 901, but i d waited long enough for the 1GB of ram version to be out, and for use to get past the 4G model. The laptop itself is quite reasonable. I bought it as a play thing to have a play at LINUX. In a way I am glad I did, as am very mcuh put off of how LINUX works as a whole. First of all the laptop hardware itself. Great little screen, good quality, always displays what I want to see. 1GB of RAM should handle most things, built in Wireless, and a Built in Webcam. Always a useful luxary. Naturally a cable port for Networking, 3 USB (which was impressive for any laptop a year ago. Audio out and Mic in. A VGA out which again is impressive incase ...

Premium Review Size is not important (479 words)

By using a usb mouse and connecting to a full size monitor, you would think you had a full size PC instead of a sub notebook. The built in cam & mic works well with Skype although video/audio support for Yahoo or MSN messenger is not yet available. Its advisable to add a memory card to store photos etc as the internal memory is only 4 gigabytes. For around £200 I thought ...

Asus Eee PC 4G

Premium Review Do good things come in small packages? In this case - yes! (486 words)

I m a sucker for anything that looks like a "mini" version of another product and the Asus EEE series basically look like scaled down versions of regular sized laptops. I quickly convinced myself that getting a small and light weight machine would be a great side order for my regular laptop. First things first - yes, it runs on linux. No, this isn t really a problem. I know a little bit about linux and am fairly computer literate but even if I wasn t I m fairly sure most people could pick up the eee and figure out what they were doing. The tabbed desktop is somewhat reminiscent of the new fad of tabbed web browsers and easy enough to use. It does have a ...
