The CD E100 features the ETRAX 100 processor, which brings data throughput up to 2700 Kbytes/s over a 100 Mbit network (depending on the client, caching, and protocols) coupled with a higher level of integration. The CD E100 supports hard disk caching. Accessing a disk generally takes 10 milliseconds or less, compared to the nearly 100 milliseconds required in ordinary CD/DVD- ROM Server solutions. Caching also increases storage capacity. Data from up to 127 CD/DVD disks can be stored, managed and displayed as individual disks, even if you have only one single CD/DVD-drive in your tower!

CD E100 comes as a tower module with one or two SCSI-ports. It takes full advantage of the latest Axis ThinServer Technology. Within you find "thin" versions of all major operating systems. In addition, a new Windows-like Web interface provides an intuitive tool for administrative tasks, such as network settings, access rights, caching options and server status monitoring.
