Advantages: Reliable - trustworthy

Disadvantages: Not as cheap as some others

Having been into a fair number of computer shops in Edinburgh I now use only one - Ideal Computing in Bruntsfield.

The prices may not been the cheapest in town, but I have been in the cheapest shop in town and didn't like what I saw. The range of products is pretty good with most of the major brands available, as with all computer shops they sometime run out of popular stuff like memory chips, but 9 times out of 10 they have what I am looking for.

However the best thing is their good advice, the assistants all seem to know their stuff (unlike the bloke in Dixons) and give good advice. My brother bought a new PC from them and they din't try to sell him something he didn't need (and new PCs come with a 12 month in-situ warranty!)

Everyone I know that has dealt with them has been happy and you can't say better than that.
