Resistive touch technology uses a touch sensitive surface for intuitive handling of a computer system. The touch layer consists of two polyester foils spread out on a surface of an LCD screen and separated by small transparent insulating points. A soft touch on the surface brings together both polyester foils, which allows locating the point of touch on the screen. LCD panels of this type are designed to be built in other devices/systems, so they are delivered without a base.
