Lightwave Consoleserver 3201The Secure Console Server 3201 provides a secure alternative to terminal servers, delivering centralized management of serial command console ports through direct network access or a local terminal. The Secure Console Server 3201 allows multiple user sessions to access up to 32 devices. Incorporating OpenSSHv2 for secure encryption, Open LDAP, and support for DHCP networks the Secure Console Server 3201 provides solid console management for a wide range of devices. Attached devices can be a variety of workstations, UNIX and Linux servers, LAN/WAN components, or management systems. The Secure Console Server 3201 features a "full distribution" Linux rather than an "embedded" Linux. When there is a security update to Linux, customers can go directly to the web and download the RPM immediately. Owners of products with an "embedded" Linux must wait until the manufacturer updates their proprietary software. Flash downloads make the system updates a snap. The front panel allows you to set up the Secure Console Server 3201 in 2 minutes. More Lightwave computers
