Mitsumi in general: ... to create all formats of CD and above all, it has to be within my price range (which isn't very much). Right, this is where the search commenced for my new CD Re-Writer. I looked at all the options, prices and makes and finally came to the conclusion that the Mitsumi CR 4804-TE was the drive I needed. I ordered it online and within a week, I had a parcel delivered to my door :-) We all have to start in c...

... are usually reliable and value for money. I haven't had any complaints about their products. The prices are low but you do get good value for money. Not so the CR4805TE CD-RW. Yes, it was cheap at £102 including VAT but I wish I had waited and spent a litle bit more. The whole performance of the 2Mb buffered drive was poor. ... don't understand most of the technical terms associated with CD-R player/recorders. I don't really care how or why they work. As long as I can put a blank in and take out a finished disc then I'll be happy. My Mitsumi drive fulfils that in spades. In the six months I've been using it, every blank that's gone in has come out perfect. The player was the cheapest one you could buy when I got it, but it had done well in a magazine review I'd read so I took the plunge. I'm glad I did 'cos shortly after I'd installed it and backed up everything, including the cat, my hard drive packed up. Back up regularly the Xperts say.....Heh he...
