Nokia C111The radio traffic between the wireless LAN cards and access points can be secured by the Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) protocol. WEP uses up to 128-bit encryption and shared key authentication to secure radio traffic, offering a security level comparable to wired networks. The WEP protocol and smart card make user authentication and authorization reliable and secure, thereby protecting the network from unauthorized intruders. The Nokia C111 supports the IEEE 802.11b standard and is based on 2.4 GHz direct sequence radio technology.
