      • "Not as fast as the newer CDRW's"

After deciding i needed a DVD rom drive for my pc i decided that the Ricoh MP9120 was for me. My ageing CDRW (2 speed) was on its last legs and i needed a DVD rom drive, so i took the plunge and got a DVD/CDRW combo drive. My old CDRW drive was a Ricoh one and i had never had any problems with it so i choose one of their drives for my pc. I've never looked back since installing the drive, installation was a breeze as windows picked the drive up first time (and correctly identified it as both a DVD and CDRW drive) Included in the kit are: The DVD/CDRW (get away never) One 40 pin IDE Cable Two Sound to CD cables (the ones for the cd audio) One 10 speed CDRW (74min) One 16 speed CDR (80min) And an installation cd. On the installation cd you will find all of the manuals in adobe acrobat format (scrobat is also on the cd, just in case you don't have it), WinDVD 2000 (can't get it to work right in Windows XP??), InCD (UDF packet writing software) and the wonderful (or at least i think it is) Nero 5. The drive its self is a 32 speed CD rom drive, 8 speed DVD rom drive, 12 speed CDR and 10 speed CDRW (not bad for one drive eh). Would I recommend you get one of these drives, well yes and no, yes because they are just so efficient and no only because this drive has been superseded by the MP9200 (take a look at the Ricoh site for more details) Take my advice if you need to replace your DVD rom or CDRW drive then get one of these little beauties, you'll not regret it (I haven?t)
