Advantages: Good quality, reliable, very cheap

Disadvantages: Just average...

I found my local Staples was selling Traxdata Silvers for £3.99 per box of 10 with jewel cases, so I invested in 5 boxes (mad impetuous fool). A friend of mine had been using them for a good while and so I reckoned they must be okay.

Oddly, they seem to be right down the middle average. Yes, a few discs have failed (that's right from the shrink wrap to the writer) and I have had a few not read in other machines. Another odd error I occasionally suffered was, upon inserting a new, freshly unwrapped disc, I would be told that there was no blank space - in other words, apparently pre-filled!

Also, the audio CD performance is sort of average. Not brilliant, but good enough. Certainly a better risk than a load of no-name nasties. At that bargain price, they presented a reliable option for every type of CD creation - solid and steady.

I find these Cd's fine, but then the local shop used to sell them for 90p each so I thought they were top quality!

Check out Kodak silver & gold - no probs with these babies as yet. Good little op - always nice to see pros and cons from someone actually using this stuff!

Same as below - a bit brief. I've tried Traxdata in the past and haven't had any trouble - it might be your CD-writer just doesn't like them, rather than the discs. RJL.
