Sony Ericsson K750i
by ReganMoore
I owned this phone before I got my G1 smartphone, and miss it to some extent. It was, and still is an excellent phone. And although about every other person in England had one at it's peak (they were quite literally everywhere), there was a good reason for it.
Looks:
The phone looks good. A nice, compact, black rectangle ... with rounded edges, with a silver slide on the back to protect the camera lens. It is a very hard wearing and robost phone (I dropped mine a lot), with a decent size screen on it compared to the size of the phone.
Ease of Use:
The phone itself was very easy to set up and get to the battery. The buttons are a good size, and with the joystick and various shortcuts which could be set up - the phone was extremely easy to navigate. A nice feature was that if you slid the silver plastic on the back, to expose the camera, then the phone went straight into camera mode. This meant that you could go from locked to taking pictures in seconds without pressing any buttons.
As a phone:
Making calls and texting was extremely simple - and the keys seem to be designed so that you could type very quickly (as opposed to really tiny keys, or keys to close together). Battery life is also amazing, it could last weeks with extremely light usage.
Camera:
It has a very good, 2 MP camera on it with auto focus - which meant perfect photos every time. It also has light on it, for a make-shift flash. The video capture isn't too bad either.
Media:
Photo galleries were quick to load and look through, and the phone has a good media player/speaker on it for playing music - albeit a little bit quiet.
Other features:
FM radio, torch, bluetooth (which was sometimes a little unreliable), games (stock games were terribly made, but could download some classics like Pacman) and a sound recorder.
The only things I will say against it is that after a good 2 or 3 years of service to me, it did pack up on me fairly unexpectedly. Although, by that stage I was getting close to needing a new phone - and so it wasn't too bad.
In conclusion, a nice little sturdy phone, which works well as a phone, camera, and media player. No wonder it was so popular back in the day! Read the complete review |

General Panasonic TV Opinions
by loveplanes
I have had a panasonic tv for about two yeas now and it has been really good.
I originally bought a panasonic tv because they look good, they are not badly priced and also because panasonic tv's are supposed to have the best sound quality.
Firslty, the look. I think panasonic tv's look really good they, are very ... modern and sleek and look very good quality and well built. I like how most of their tv's have curved edges, i think it makes them look better and it also means if you hit the corner it does not hurt.
Secondly, the price compare to most tv's like samsung and sony panasonic are fairly cheap but they do not lack in quality they are built very well unlike cheaper makes like toshiba.
Finally the sound quality. i mentioned this because last year panansonic one a prize for best sound quality on thir tv's.
Overall, i think panasonic tv's are very good and i highly recommend buying one. Read the complete review |

Dictaphones in General
by elfen09
I've been needing to use a dictaphone in lectures at university, and the ones I've been using (Olympus digital one) has been pretty good. The built in mic has been picking up sound really well (it has 3 settings, and lecture is one of them, so it's been mainly on that setting) but there can be a bit too much background noise to be heard ... brilliantly, so an extra better microphone would be a big help.
I'd guess it would be good if you need it for a meeting or to dictate a letter, but I haven't been needing it for that. I have used a different one in the past (still an Olympus model) for a voiceover for a short film, and the sound quality has come out brilliantly. It didn't pick up outside noise, and it's better using it in a smaller, possibly soundproof room (as these were the conditions I used it under)
I can't fault it, apart from it would be a little better if there were a case included to protect it. Read the complete review |
