Car Alarms in generalNewest Review: ... is pretty useless & doesnt even list the Arrow 5, let alone acknowledge the existence of the G5 alarms!! you'll have to visit the American website to get the full spec list, but this is easily good enough for most cars its got some great features & even adds remote central locking to most cars & there is loads of options you can add to is as extras. I paid £180.00 for the alarm & installation but i've also so seen it advertised for £210.00 installed so it pays to look around! ... more |

You may or may not have read my op about my new Fiat Cinquecento, but I am soooo chuffed with it, its my new little pride and joy. My own little piece of independance, following my divorce earlier this year. (ahhhh!!!) Anyway, I was walking back to a local NCP carpark in Bristol (Bond Street), when I spotted my pride and joy sitting there, looking all little and cute (and Green). Upon looking slightly closer, I saw a huge pile of glass on the floor next to it. It took me a moment or two to let reality hit me, and I realised that my back window was missing. I had a Quiksilver jacket screwed up in a ball on the floor in the back, an ... Read the complete review

After buying my new (second-hand) car I decided that an alarm would be a good investment. My previous car had a very basic alarm. When I say basic, you could open up the bonnet and pull the leads out of the car battery to make it stop. But it was a good deterrent to the opportunist thief. Essentially car crime falls under two catagories; 1) Thefts from the vehicle 2) Thefts of vehicles Car criminals also fall into two catagories; 1) Opportunists 2) Professionals Opportunists will generally take advantage of "easy-target" cars, those without an alarm or visible physical deterrent such as a steering wheel or ... My husband and I just had both our cars fitted with the AutoWatch 172Ri/T remote immobiliser. This is a fantastic system which can be installed as a remote immobiliser alone or as an alarm too. Vehicle protection is automatic, you simply turn off your ignition as normal and the immobiliser will arm 30 seconds later. To disarm the immobiliser momentarily, you press the button on your remote control, you will have thirty seconds to start your car before the immobiliser re-arms itself. The alarm system has ultrasonic movement sensors. The alarm will sound if the doors, bonnet or boot are opened while the alarm is on. In the event of the alarm being ... Read the complete review

The Clifford Concept 100 car alarm is a great piece of secuity for your car. It protects all the doors as well as the boot, bonnet and glove box with sensors. There is also a microphone that is installed in the car that listens out for signs of an attempted break-in and sounds a warning chirp if someone knocks your car with their door, but sets off the full alarm if someone is trying to break your window. The alarm comes with a flashing LED to warn people that you have an alarm, and also comes with a little keypad that allows you to change the options of the alarm, and also to enter valet mode. If you have a Turbocharged car, the alarm comes complete with a ... Read the complete review
