I hate mobile phones in public places (General Comments...)

Advantages: good for emergencys

Disadvantages: can't count there are too many

Yes I agree with all those that say that mobile phones are handy and that when you break down they are a life saver, but really are they as necessary as everyone makes out.
Up to about a year or two ago only a small minority of this country had one, now almost everyone I know has one.
I can't think of a worse way to spend my money, phoning people on expensive lines all the time and paying loads of money each month and what for??
The worse thing about them is when you are sitting in a pub having a drink with your friends and off one goes, and then another, playing sad and stupid tunes.
And really is there any need for a child to have one!!!!!!
