Advantages: Cheap phones, good deals, good customer service.

Disadvantages: £5 charge for Saturday delivery.

Fed up with my Pay as You Talk phone never seeming to have any calling credit, I decided to get hold of a contract phone. I spent quite a while looking around on the web for some good deals, but didn't find anything special. Then, looking through the paper one day I saw a place called Dial-a-Phone advertising. They had what appeared to be a quite silly deal. A Nokia 3210, leather case, in car charger, hands free kits, four different covers, three months free insurance and a camera (no, I don't know why either) for nothing, and a contract with Vodafone, only at a lower cost, and with more free calls than if you go to Vodafone directly. Going to their website (www.dialaphone.co.uk) gave some more options, and I settled on a Nokia 7110 (same deal, except the phone isn't free) at £50 less than I'd seen it anywhere else.
The website allows you to order online, and has a fairly simple form. I signed up for Saturday delivery at an extra £5, and early Saturday morning, I received my phone. The courier has all the contracts that need signing with him, and this is done on your doorstep and everything is sorted.

Slightly disappointing (though not Dial a Phone's fault) was when the phone broke 10 minutes later. The company offer a 14 day piece of mind guarantee, and I was tempted to return the phone. I phoned them about this, and they were quite happy for me to return the phone, and would even refund the postage costs of me returning it to them. In the end I decided to get a new handset. I called them about this at 10am on a Sunday morning, and found them not only to be open, but helpful too. MY new handset was couriered to me on the Tuesday, and swapped on my doorstep.

I'd recommend Dial a Phone - good deals on phones (cheaper certainly than high street phone shops), and prompt, friendly service.
