I've had a mobile phone for a few years now and being a recently graduated physicsist I've suspected the dangers of microwave transmission for a while now. As a result I've been using a hands free kit for longer conversations in a vain effort to prevent me knacking me little tiny brain. However now that I heard about these things being more dangerous when you think of it, its a really simple phenomenon. Microwaves can be produced by vibrating currents within a conductor such as a copper wire. Also when microwaves interact with matter they induce currents, so the antenna of you phone produces the em waves, they will induce currents in the wire and will produce even more microwves to fry our fragile minds.
