How can anyone in their right mind buy a Vodaphone card phone. What is the point when each time you buy a top up card you know that a large percentage of the money pays for the privilege of paying again for any calls you make?

Surely Orange and other providers have got it right, when you simply pay for the calls you make? As one of the largest phone people in Europe, how can Vodaphone justify their system, or is this yet another case of a huge international company taking its customers to the cleaners?
