IF YOU ARE GOING ON HOLIDAY AND THINKING OF GETTING A CAMCORDER THEN BUY IT WHEN YOU GET THERE AS I HAVE JUST SAVED MYSELF £100.00 ON A SAMSUNG CAMCORDER IN THE CANARY ISLANDS. IT HAS 440X ZOOM WHICH IS BRILLIANT, DOESNT MAKE YOU LOOK TOO FAT ON FILM. THE PICTURE STAYS QUITE STILL WHEN YOUR RECORDING AND YOU CAN EDIT VARIOUS THINGS ON IT. MOST OF ALL ITS SO EASY TO USE THAT EVEN AN IDIOT COULD OPERATE IT (LIKE ME). THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF BAD PRESS LATELY ABOUT BUYING ELECTRICAL GOODS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES BUT I HAVE TO SAY THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN RIPPED OFF SO DONT LET THE PRESS NESESSARILY PUT YOU OFF JUST BE CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR BUYING. ...

I did not by it in a shop, but I saved over 50 pounds buying it over the internet. It cost me just under 218 pounds. I have had my Samsung Camcorder 5 years(1996) now and it is well travelled. It has been reliable throughout. I know you guard a camcorder with your life and not drop it, but ours has taken it`s share of knocks...and a few drops and it is still ok. It records well, picture play back quality is good.The sound is good too. It is good when recording somewhere quite dark eg..Party, with just disco lights, or evening Barbecue, it records exactly how we see it. You can add your subtitles to the recording, although I never seemed to get the hang of it, it was probably easy enough I just have no patience. The time & date is displayed, and ...
