If you buy a midi all in one system you are being ripped off, its offical. I think it is all too easy to walk in to a shop and buy everything you need in one system for 400 quid. The salesman will tell you that you are getting a bargain because you get everything included and the sound quality will match an equivalent separates system. Now, get yourself down to Richer sounds, spend no more than 200 quid and you will have a more powerful, slightly less ponsy looking, good quality hi fi. The midi systems look gruesome with too many flashy bits and tacky features. Mostly they offer big bass features, the bass on these hi fi is rubbish, it just boomy.
