Advantages: Nice clean and sharp picture, Some excellent features
Disadvantages: none YET
A few months back, I needed to replace my television for my bedroom, as my original one took the knock. I required a decent size one, nothing too big and nothing fancy like wide-screen, just a nice TV to watch, so I took a look in my girlfriends catalogue. I came across a “Samsung CZ20F2N, 20 inch Nicam Stereo”, which looked nice and neat, and at £199 I thought yeah that looks ok, so I ordered it, yes I know, it is only about £160 in the shops, unfortunately I didn’t have the cash, so I had no choice. A week later my Television arrived, so I unwrapped it and set it up, and WOW I thought, this is really a very decent television, Great Picture, Great sound, Very attractive, Fast-text, etc, as a matter of fact it has everything you could desire from a television, apart from wide-screen capabilities. Firstly, and most importantly, The PICTURE: ------------------------------------------- Yes this television, has a superb picture, nice and clear and crisp, and also has other Picture related options, these options include, the capability to automatically adjust the picture, according to your mood or what you are watching too save you from fiddling about with the Contrast, Colour and Brightness buttons to get a decent picture, these setting include Mild, Sports, Natural, Custom and Normal. The screen is 48 cm (approx 20 inches), which is ample for a bedroom television. Sound: ------ As I said, this television has Nicam Stereo, so the sound as you can guess is pretty impressive, and as with the picture has pre-set sound controls, enabling you to automatically change the sound to your requirements to the type of programme you are watching, these include settings for Music, Movie, Speech, Normal and Custom. Tele-text: ---------- I know it is normal for all televisions to have fast-text nowadays, which is a good job, as I spend hours on end looking at the text, and infuri
ating other people at the same time, I bet there are many of you who know exactly what I mean there, well anyway as I said, this television has Fast-text, with a 10 page memory, which basically means you can programme your 10 most popular Tele-text pages, to be there all the time. Other Features: --------------- On-screen menus: Meaning, you do all your adjusting and tuning On-screen, instead of fiddling about with buttons on your Television. Giving Channels names: Yes, you can actually give the channels names, whatever you desire, as long as it no longer than 6 characters. Sleep timer: Yes you know, you come home and start watching your TV, but you are knackered and fall asleep with your TV on, well this allows you to time your TV to switch itself off in 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 or 180 minutes time. Auto Set-up features: Yes, just plug in the TV and press auto set-up and let the TV do all the work, to save you sitting there tuning the thing in. All in all I think this TV is superb value for the money, and would recommend it to anyone, to whom are looking for a TV, but not looking for something special, just a TV that does it job, very well, as this TV certainly does this. Remote Control: --------------- The remote control for this television is both a nice size and shape, and is very easy to understand, and also houses buttons for all the extra features on the TV. Specifications: --------------- Model: CZ20F2N Screen: 48 cm (approx 20in tube) Tele-text: Fast-text, with a 10 page memory Other features: Sleep-timer, 100 channels, On-screen display, different language capabilities, Plug and play, Rear Scart socket and front AV terminal. Dimensions: ----------- Height 18 1/4, width 23 and depth 19 ½. Also supplied with a stand.
