Advantages: easy to use, powerful
Disadvantages: none
We bought this microwave a couple of years ago to replace our aged Hitachi model.
This is a fairly basic microwave, there's no grill or convection oven. Just a microwave but it does a great job.
Unlike so many this is easy to use, no vast array of touch pads or switches. Just a switch to control the power, a button to set the time in increments of 30 seconds and another button to open the door. There's also a small dial to adjust the time eg to change 30 seconds to 20 seconds. It cooks at up to 900 watts power, this can be adjusted from a keep warm setting, defrost up to the full 900 watts.
When the timer's finished it bleeps for a few seconds, then bleeps again every 30 seconds to remind you it's finished. Food is cooked consistently and the machine has been very reliable. A useful safety feature is that it can't be started accidently, the door must be opened and closed before it will start.
A fairly basic model that is well made and very reliable.
