Now, when watching a movie in the dark I don't have to fumble around the DVD, TV or Amplifier controllers pressing buttons blindly and doing stupid things like hitting eject instead of pause. Something else that's pretty sensible is the ability to program specific functions to the keys of your choice. You've probably heard the analagy of 'taking everything with you bar the kitchen sink' - well, this handy little(?) remote allows you to control everything except the kitchen sink! - and that's only because most kitchen sinks don't have an infrared sensor!! I've only just purchased the controller myself and already can't live without it. One of the best feautures is its built in modem that allows the remote to become future proof. When I say heaven I mean for the price, since you can probably find a better remote, but it will cost you an arm a leg and most likely two kidneys. Being a Sky Digital user, I find it really annoying that the DigiBox can’t change the channels at a certain time so my video will tape the programme I want it to tape. So, when I had to be admitted to hospital for a week I turned to one of the greatest inventions known to man, yep that’s right my mother. I had a ten hour tape (lp) in my VCR and preset all the dates and timings of the programmes I wanted taped.
