... box, some may need a special digital aerial. Anyway, as the package was handed to me at Argos, the first thing that struck me was how small it was, the cardboard box itself was less than 12 inches by 8 inches, not much bigger than a thick hardback book and it was very light, I?d guess 1-2 kilos. Unpacking the unit shocked me even more, the Pace DVTA is tiny, about 8 inches wide, by six deep and only two inches tall, roughly speaking. If you really don?t understand the olde stylee measurements then multiply by 2.5 for c...more

Its was a first and still the best compact unit.
Had it for 5 years without any problems.

To get Freeview you need to buy a digital TV adapter. I bought the Pace Digital TV set top box two months ago from Argos, it cost £69.99 (page 736 of the Argos catalogue if you want to have a look, original price £84.99 but you get £14 off). They informed me in the shop that it is exempt from the 16 day money back guarantee so I could not return it, and they gave me a number to ring to check that Freeview is available in my area (08708 809 980). I rang it and was informed Freeview is available in my area (you can also check on Freeview's website). I don't know if the money back thing applies to other retailers, this might be worth checking out before you buy. ...  Read the complete review
