When I first encountered the PAMA Plug'n'Go hands-free system for use in cars, I was rather dubious. WIth my previous mobile phone I had had a "proper" hands-free wired installation in the car linked to an external aerial. I wasn't sure that the Pama device, which plugged into the cigar lighter would really work, it looked a bit Heath-Robinsonish. I must admit that even the name put me off - "Plug'n'Go" just sounds naff to me! Eventually, I decided it was cheap enough to risk a try, and after all, they were being advertised in the Sunday Times with mention of a Design Council Millennium Award.
