“ Manufacturer: Pioneer / Model: CDX-P670 / CD changer / external. „
My husband was desperate for a CD changer for his car, as he doesn't have the facility to play MP3s in it as yet. A friend who had had one for quite some time recommended this changer to us. and said it was very reliable even though it came with a cheap price tag and was easy to install.
The silver unit is approx. 16.8 x 24.8 x 6.6 cm and can cope with upto 6 disks at a time and is paired with a receiver, which is text compatible. It's very slim, comes with plenty of cable and my husband installed/mounted it in the boot of his Mondeo. Apparently it can be mounted in a variety of ways that suits you. I must say that when we gave it a road test it held up well. Didn't notice any of the tracks that we played skip or judger which is probably down to the excellent anti-vibration method.
When changing disks this is an easy and quick task and it'll also play your CD-R and CD-RWs with no hassle at all. Depending on what's on your CDs it will play about 6 hours of music which is pretty good. If you require more then I'd go for a bigger CD changer but this one suits are nicely.
Sadly we are having to move with the times and this changer doesn't have a facility to play MP3s, so we are now having to look for a new system that will cater for our changing needs.
Purchased from Amazon for £69 including delivery approximately 5 years ago.
I purchased the Pioneer CDX P670 CD multichanger to compliment my CD stereo I already had in my car. It is a great size which means it will fit nearly anywhere in your car without standing out and looking obtrusive. It is a very sleek silver design which means even if it is viewable you won't feel embarrassed to be seen with it. The length of the wires means it can be stored safely in the boot away from dodgy eyes and not taking up any room in the car.
It can take up to 6 different CDs which depending on your music will last you around 5 hours which is more than enough for even long car journeys. It copes with every bump in the road without skipping even when it is not securely fastened down in the car. It is very easy to install and to use and will even play CD-R and CD-RW so you can use your own CDs. It can also be controlled using a matching head unit or remote control.
This is a very good CD multichanger and available for around £60 it won't break the bank. Easy to install and hide in your car it is perfect for those long car journeys.
This is a review of the Pioneer Model CDX-P670. This was one of those must have buys before the likes on MP3 compatable Car audi systems came in to play. This was perfect for those motorway drives when you could simply sit back, put your cruise control on and enjoy music for how it was meant to be enjoyed. Installing this could be slightly difficult for those who are of an older age but with some help it is easily fittest and you could be up and running within the hour. This also plays CD-R and CD-RW which means that you can create your own music and relax knowing full well that these will be playable with this unit. All in all this a good choice for those wishing to add a CD changer to the automobile. If you are to buy this product second hand I would make sure that you get proof of this actual working as some CD changers can become faulty.
This 6-disc CD changer is compatible with Pioneer's "IP Bus" headunits, and plays CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs. It remembers the name of the last 100 CDs it's played, as well as any of your special track programming. Mount it in a variety of locations and angles in your vehicle, and control it via your head unit and a remote control.
