Have you ever lost your TV Remote Control, no neither have I, but I have broken the remote for the upstairs TV which has special features that are only available on the remote control handset its self, my husband started muttering about having to buy a new TV (in his dreams). So I thought I would do a bit of surfing as he keeps telling me how good the web is.

Using the Google search engine I came across a company that sold replacement remote controls, this site was Which and Shopspy.co.uk approved and uses the World Pay Payment system, the site was www.remotecontrols.co.uk. My TV is over 10 years old and they had a replacement that was priced at £16.50 plus £3.50 Postage and Packing.

How the site works

Select a manufacturer , a model type and type in a model number

They have over 100,000 replacement remote controls in stock and if your chosen replacement is in stock you will be given a price and can select how many you wish to purchase. You can also purchase suitable batteries from the same page. Choose the postage method you want and proceed by clicking the 'Complete Order' button.

If the site can not match your selection, you may e-mail them as their available database expands daily.

You then select how you want to order. By cheque (mail or phone order) or online with your credit card.

If you choose online order you will be directed to a secure payment page on which you can enter your delivery details and credit card details.

Once your card payment has been authorised you will be sent an order confirmation by e-mail.

My new remote arrived today which is only a couple of days after I ordered it. It isn?t exactly the same in looks, but it has all the same features plus extras, I used to have to adjust the TV colour and contrast from the front of the TV but now I can do it from the remote which is good.
