Having said that, I'm really happy with the product as it looks great at home (really small!) and I can now go round to a friends house to watch a DVD even if they don't have their own player. I just unplug mine and take it over! Simple. Works fine with all movies and is multi-region as well as being NTSC compatible (for USA films). Overall at 149 pounds a good buy. ...more

Although I'd never heard of the brand Rimax, this was the only portable DVD player I could find that could also be used as an external DVD-ROM drive with my laptop.
