I got this headphones for mixing purposes, I am a semiprofessional musician dealing with mostly my own projects and as expensive monitors are not a financially possible solution, I went for these instead. Actually these types of headphones are mostly meant for listening, but their relatively flat frequency response makes them quite good (for non professional models) for this type of thing. As with most headphones of that category, they have slighty more bass than needed which makes them ideal for rock and dance listening. It's also Sennheiser which means it's comfortable to your ears and it will hardly break in two in the first chance.
