I brought this Sony SD3MT hi-fi system from Dixons, and i just couldn't wait to get it home, un-pack it and turn it on. OH My God, it's one of the best products i have ever brought, with pure sound and lots of nifty features. However when there are good points there has to be a few bad points i'm afraid, 1st of all on the day of purchase, the bulb in one of the speakers had blown. This bulb basically illuminates the speaker and you can choose from 3 colours to suit your mood, (it looks real nice at night). 2nd fault was the front glass panel of the CD bit of the hi-fi, it doesn't close properly therefore hanging slightly forward. You maybe wondering what i did about this? Well like any normal person i called those ever reliable Mastercare people who offer great service, and how was i wrong. It's now been over a month and i still haven't received the speaker, and on two seperate occassions when the engineer was meant to call to fix the glass panel he never did. So currently i'm in disputes at the moment with mastercare about these two problems, and when there going to get fixed. Please don't think that this happens with all of Sony products, or just this make of hi-fi. I have s Sony DVD player and there hasen't been a single problem with that, nor my Playstation or my two widescreens TV's in both livingrooms. So i recommend this product to anyone thinking off buying a Sony SD3MT, and please make sure before you buy it from the store that all looks well inside the box.
