NOOOOOOO!!!!! It is NOT just a hunk of metal. The technics are THE established decks of clubbing and djing. They are incredibly well-built and designed to last a lifetime. However, they are not the only choice out there!! These days many new turntables are turning up on the market such as the new Vestax and the Numark pro TT1's. All of these are equally well-built and reliable as well as containing new modern gizmos such as reverse play and larger pitches. Thus Technics, still remain the leaders of the pack, but the question is for how long??? Once the general public as well as club promoters catch a glimpse of the new standard bearing vestax you might see a lot more second hand technics floating around. My ...  Read the complete review
