TiVo in General

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my tivo!!! My tivo is one of my favorite possessions. This tivo is AWESOME, it records and stores 80 hours worth of programming, if you have digital cable you can record 2 shows at the same time! one on basic cable and one on digital cable. I love my tivo because it has completely changed my daily routines. I don't even know what day or time my favorite shows are on. All I have to do is search for the show I want to watch and my tivo will find it for me and record it. There is even an option to get a season pass, meaning whenever that show is on, your tivo will record it. You may have not heard of TiVo. If you have, you probably will not know much more than it being a relative of Sky+. This is because TiVo has not done very well selling itself in this country, and has only done slightly better Stateside. As a result, its manufacture has been discontinued, but you may be able to pick up one in Dixons or the like if you ask. TIVO...POOR Quality - Advantages: ease of set up - Disadvantages: too many repairs need to unit, returned 4 times in 2 years

We bought our Tivo just before Christmas at the bargain price of £99. Usually they are supposed to be £300 but you can generally find them around at £200. A Tivo is like a video recorder with a hard drive. Instead of putting a video into the machine it downloads the program onto a hard drive. This is just the basics though. If you like a particular program you can set it up as a season pass and your Tivo will record every episode for you without you telling it too. Tivo is a video recorder which, rather than recording on video tapes, uses a computer hard disk to record programs digitally. This means that you get the following benefits over conventional VCR. 1.
