I have been with virgin for a few years and since then they have improved greatly in their coverage of their service and their prices regarding pay as you go tariffs. Before I used to struggle to get a signal within my house but over the last year or so I started receiving more bars on average which resulted in virtually no cut outs during calls ... I am absolutely disgusted by Virgin mobile. My son has had his phone since November and still he cannot use it because he has an O2 sim card. We are now on our 3rd phone and it is still locked and no one seems to help. We just keep getting told "we will write to Sony Ericsson for the code to unlock it". I am sick to the back teeth ... i recently had an old phone i wanted to use, so i thought i'd buy a sim card pack. the cheapest deal was virgin mobile, which cost only 10 pounds including 5 pounds free airtime. it was simple to use, with pay as you go, with no extra charges, line rental, contract, etc. i'm happy with this service, although i have nothing to ... Did you know that Virgin Pay as you go is one of the easiest ways to cut your big phone bills? Yep, its true. I have just left my contract line and become a pay as you go subscriber. Not only that but im able to use my old phone AND my old number. All of this for £10 and that includes £5 worth of free calls! so really its costing me £5 to get ... Read the complete review

I was thrilled with my Virgin Mobile account, I honestly couldn't find a better deal anywhere, especially as I don't use my mobile enough to justify a £15 a month contract (I have a landline and internet too). Also customer service at Virgin are brilliant...friendly, intelligent and helpful. Oh dear! I was looking around on the net this ... Read the complete review

This is my own personal rant regarding the Virgin Mobile customer service department. While I was more than haapy with my phone and the tarrif, I hit problems when my phone was stolen. Let me explain, prior to this I had put my mobile phone number on several very important documents. When it was stolen the recipients of these documents ... Read the complete review

Okay I admit it, I was one of those people who regularly wrinkled their noses and looked away in disgust whenever a mobile phone was ringing, be it on the bus, in the streets or simply at the pub. I just couldn't understand how somebody could spend hours glued to a mobile phone talking to someone who was sat in the pub next door to ... Read the complete review

Guess you can call me a Virgin junkie but when it comes to their products they know how to break the mould. I've had my Virgin mobile now for almost a year. I'm on the monthly scheme. Not the usual pay monthly contact as you dont pay for line rental and there are no contracts to sign. The reason why I choose this scheme was because you ... Read the complete review

On the train home from work with some work mates, I received a text message from Virgin on my Virgin phone advertising their 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' Competition. We were all bored after a hard day and decided to get together as see how we would do at it! SO how does it work? You need a Virgin phone. Firstly you send a ... Read the complete review

Yes, I cracked. The sight - and sound - of every small child and large adult in the land fingering their mobiles in public finally brainwashed me into believing that I *really* need one. (I wrote an anti-mobile rant about a year ago on Dooyoo, which I feel I must partially retract.) Plus, I like gadgets. So as a technophile sceptic with ... Read the complete review

I have to admit I am not the technical kind of person so me having a mobile phone is like a puzzle to play with and not something that bothered me if I had one or not. However, I brought one last Christmas for my husband, with him working the best part of the day we thought it would be nice and handy for emergencies or just for a chat ... Read the complete review

When it comes to choosing your mobile phone network Virgin really is in a league of is own, with its only real competition coming from Orange. Since the advent of the ‘cheap’ mobile – the pay-as-you-go variety, I have used only the BTCellnet and Orange networks, but due to an excellent offer on the Virgin website (www.virgin.com/mobiles), I have taken the plunge and bought a mobile that I’ve liked for a while at an excellent price (a Siemens M35 - £59.95 including ... Virgin Mobile may be subject to heavy critcism, but I can do nothing but sing its praises! Virgin Mobile is a "virtual network" which means it has lower overheads than the traditional networks as it doesn't own its own masts, etc which means it can pass the benefits onto the consumer in offering lower call charges. Recent research shows that 4 in 10 people within the UK own a mobile phone. This figure two years ago was one in fifteen, which shows a very big market growth. The recent introduction of pre-pay and pay-as-you-go services has increased the usage of mobile phones in the UK. Richard Branson has launched Virgin Mobile as a joint with ...
