      Very helpful

As you can probably tell this opinion is not about an amiga game but a film called Akira this is only because I did not notice until after I had written it please rate this as if it was in films cheers. It's not a cartoon it's an animated movie can't you tell the difference? This epic is the definitive manga film for all us westerners who can't seem to understand the japaninmation. This was the film which jumped manga from kids TV to sophisticated adult "proper movies". In this movie the year is 2019 30 years after tokyo was destroyed by an atomic bomb in WWIII. In the rebuilt Neo-tokyo towering skyscrapers line the skies and the common citizens live like rats in an urban hell. The movie follows the lives of a group of teenage biker punks whose violent gang wars terrorize the city. They get mixed up with a group of revolutionarys trying to overthrow the oppresive government who are developing Akira which when injected into a human gives the superhuman strength and incredible destructive power. The fact that it is an animation means that even with a limited budget the action is incredible crazy angles and hugh explosions which would be almost impossible in real time filming. This movie is exhilirating but a weak plot does hamper it. It is all wound up with a moral about mans inevitable lust for power and how it corrupts but it seems to be a poor excuse for blowing stuff up. If you like gunfights huge weird godlike monsters and incredible explosions go for this film. If Notting Hill is ore your scene give it a miss. Out on VHS and possible DVD I would recomend at least renting this film it's worth a pop go on expand your horizons it's not just pokemon which is animated you know :)
